CiaoTalk is developed by Technology Alignment, Inc. and is being done to allow people to communicate via computer or telephone around the world when you stay within the network for free. Technology Alignment, Inc. was founded in 2002 as a company to deliver solutions to business while the company provided to the open source community.

Using a local country code and area code, you are assigned a number by the system that is unique to you. The costs of the free services were expensive, so we are providing low-cost services for local telephone numbers (DIDS) with the ability to communicate with landlines and cell phones from 1.6 a minute to less than 1.5 cents a minute depending on plan.

CiaoTalk is a uses a software program that allows users to make calls over the Internet to other CiaoTalk users free of charge, or you can use a variety of SIP phones also. Calls to landlines and cell phones can be made for a small fee. Additional features include instant messaging, file transfer and video conferencing.
